the labyrinthverse

the labyrinthverse is my main oc project, and my most special of interests. it's something i've been working on since 2021, and it's really managed to get me through a lot. i've learnt a lot from it, including tons of worldbuilding details, conlanging, map design, flag design, etc. these characters and this world have grown and changed with me as i've gone through rough times. the labyrinthverse is pretty much most of my livelihood haha shout out to worldbuilding for doing a pretty damn good job before i started taking sertraline

my goal is to turn the labverse into a full series. currently there are (i think) five books planned in the main series, and i've got tons of novellas/novelettes and short stories ready and raring to go :) i'd love to have it published, but this worldbuilding is far too set to get edited by a professional so it's unlikely to get picked up lmao

what is the labyrinthverse even about?? i canny explain that. not easily at least lmao so let me just do my best to give you a vague idea if you're an outsider

we're going a bit post-apocalypse, a bit fantasy and a bit steampunk with some cyberpunk thrown in there too. it may not make sense to you but i understand it perfectly fine ol. there is magic and there is science and there is modern warfare. there are fantasy races but the highest form of technology the main characters have unrestricted access to are flip phones and clunky laptops. we have a main character who is a fantasy mage and a main character who pilots a mech and they are friends. you see, i follow the most important rule of worldbuilding: the rule of cool. suspend your disbelief and lack of understanding of what's happening just because i have a certain vibe i like please ok

ok now the actual plot. most of the characters i brainrot are a part of the chaos war series, with the sequel series - a prayer without faith - following their children. my best description of the chaos war series comes from my toyhouse page:

"Two low-class people, a doctor, an inventor, three government officials and a stranger desperately attempt to help restore peace to The Archipelago of Sakoth by fighting, changing, and thwarting the plans of a villainous dictator in his attempt to avenge The God of Chaos & Death in the process."

my favourite parts of the labyrinthverse!

• k'hyn orsino astrum my one and only. the god of chaos and death and my pookie wookie boo boo bear for forever. she's my favourite girl and she means everything to me. my most developed character and my gorgeous girl who has never done anything wrong in her life. she's in a loving relationship with my best friend's first (yes first. she has so many.) labyrinthverse oc and i am forever thankful to her since she is the #1 labyrinthverse fan and she also keeps me in line with worldbuilding when i am TOO LAZY !

• in a very similar vein, k'hystice. the ship between k'hyn and her husband solstice. over 250 aus and counting, the #1 writing/rp source of all time. everyone's favourite power couple who are kind of weirdos but in a loving way. solstice belongs to my pookie wookie cinna and she draws them SO WELL UGHHHH

• okok it's basic as hell for me to just keep listing off ships but ugh shayleo dude,,,,, shayla and leo are two of the best characters i've created i think i really do love them with all my heart and they are so special and important and i spin them around in my brain so hard all the time.

• the fans. oouwugh. the labverse fandom is small but dedicated and i care about all of them so dearly. it's so good to have my small group of fans who are just as geeked over my ocs as i am. also all so talented!!
• in a similar vein the fan ocs. ooh the fan ocs,,,there are only a few of them but i love them so dearly they're so special and wonderful and perfect. holding them all in my cupped hands. tucking them all into a comically long bed and kissing them each a good night on the forehead.
